Who We Are
City Life Vending ("CLV", "we", "us") operates smart vending machines and the software that manages them, including the City Life Vending mobile app and the management portals at app.citylifevending.com and agents.citylifevending.com (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what information the Services handle and how we treat it.
The Mobile App Is For Our Partners
The City Life Vending app is a fleet-management tool for machine owners, operators, and staff who already hold a CLV account. It is not a consumer shopping app, it does not create accounts on its own, and it collects nothing from the general public.
Information We Collect
- —Account information — your name, email address, and role, created for you when you become a CLV partner. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
- —Operational data — machine status, inventory, sales and transaction records, alerts, and device logs from your own vending machines. This is your business data; the app exists to show it to you.
- —Content you add — product photos and advertising images you choose to upload from your device. The app only accesses photos you explicitly pick.
- —Basic technical data — connection metadata (such as IP address and timestamps) generated when your device talks to our servers, used for security and troubleshooting.
What We Do Not Do
- —No advertising trackers, no analytics SDKs, no fingerprinting.
- —No sale or rental of personal information to anyone.
- —No collection of your phone’s location, contacts, microphone, or camera roll beyond images you explicitly upload.
- —No data sharing with third parties, except the infrastructure providers that host our servers and the payment processors that operate machine payments.
Age Verification at Machines
Machines that sell age-restricted products verify buyer age at the point of sale. Verification events (time, machine, and pass/fail result) are recorded for regulatory compliance and are visible in the Services to authorized operators only. See our Compliance page for details.
Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Access is controlled by per-user roles and permissions, administrative actions are recorded in an audit log, and login attempts are rate-limited.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep account and operational records for as long as you have a partner relationship with us, and as required for tax and regulatory compliance. To close an account or request deletion of personal information, contact us using the details below — we respond within 30 days.
Children
The Services are business tools for adults. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with an updated date. Material changes are communicated to account holders directly.
